FIG. 8I shows composite images of a digital eyeshadow product with a glitter finish off and hi coverage applied using three different color variations. In a few embodiments, at step 404 a defined region appealing is acquired to facilitate the use of the virtual makeup product. Remember that in some embodiments, step 404 may be performed before step 402. As mentioned previously, the region appealing may be described based on a consumer input and/or automated facial feature recognition.
At step 406 in response to an individual input requesting apply the virtual makeup product, a makeup image is generated on one or even more layers over the base image based on the selected virtual makeup product. At step 412 in response to an individual input requesting apply the virtual makeup product, an image process may optionally be employed to the bottom image itself.
In other words, the bottom image may be altered to, for example, adjust lighting or clear imperfections. At step 414, a composite image including the base image and a number of makeup images is generated and displayed with a graphical user interface of a client device. In an embodiment, process 400 is conducted in response to each user input requesting to apply a virtual makeup product.
For example, a user may decide on a virtual lipstick product to apply straight to the lips of an individual face depicted in basics image. In a few embodiments, the user input requesting software of a virtual makeup product can be received via a touch-screen display device as an impression gesture.
Accordingly, in such embodiments, acquiring the spot at step 404 may include defining a stroke region predicated on a certain quantity of pixels around the recognized touch area. For instance, if a consumer details the touch-screen display, a stroke region may be defined which includes a form (e.g., a group or rectangle) that is a place diameter (or length) from an identified middle point of the touch. Similarly, as the user drags their finger over the screen the stroke region is defined based on the space and form of the user’s gesture. Quite simply, the user inputs a clean stroke that defines or at least, informs, the spot of over that your virtual makeup is applied.
The aforementioned mask functions are then based on the defined heart stroke region leading to makeup image and amalgamated image that show, for example instantly the application of the virtual makeup product. In this manner a user can apply, for example a digital lipstick product, in a quite similar way that the true product is applied. Different virtual products shall have different alpha mix modes, sizes, and forms of strokes. For instance, lipstick may have a relatively stroke size (i.e., pixel diameter) when compared with blush or powder.
Further certain products that are darker such as eyeshadow may have been more clear (lower-alpha) than lighter products such as lipstick because they are generally applied in true to life more softly. Table 1 below lists some example alpha blend mode and stroke region size configurations that can be arranged for different makeup product types. The above example configurations for different makeup product types are provided for illustrative purposes and aren’t to be construed as restricting.
